The PTL Speech family is based on Ole Schäfer's tv typeface he has done for the WDR tv station in 2003. The typefaces have been re-worked and extended so they are now available as PTL Speech family, containing Book, Medium and Bold as well as Small Caps, Italics, Italic Small Caps, Expert Sets and several figure sets. Because of its sturdiness and modest appearance it is not only suitable for use on television but also in print media.The typeface is very readable and combines well with images. The main concept of PTL Speech has been developped together with Chris Rehberger at Double Standards, Berlin. We are planning to extend the family by a condensed version in the future.
